In the present writ petition, the petitioner is praying for issuance of a direction to the respondents to grant same pay to the petitioner as has been granted to similarly situated persons.
A perusal of order dated 16.09.2025 would show that the petitioner has resigned from the post of Assistant Professor and the resignation has also been accepted on 11.02.2025.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that although the petitioner has resigned but in light of Annexures P-3 and P-4, the petitioner was entitled for higher pay which has been denied to the petitioner. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, on instructions from the petitioner, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.2 to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of higher pay in terms of Annexures P-3 and P-4, in a time bound manner.
Mr. Vijay Pal, Advocate has filed Vakalatnama on behalf of the petitioner, which is taken on record.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents does not object to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.
In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to consider and decide the case of the petitioner for grant of higher pay in terms of Annexures P-3 and P-4 within a period of 02 months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order in accordance with law. In case, the petitioner is held entitled for grant of relief in terms of Annexures P-3 and P-4, the same be also released within a period of 02 months thereafter.
Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand(s) disposed of accordingly.
