Judgment

The applicants are visually handicapped candidates. They took part in the Civil Service Examination, 2020. Their prayer to change of scribes was
denied by the respondents, through order dated 07.09.2020. This OA is filed challenging the said order.
The applicants contend that though they have chosen scribes earlier for the same examination i.e. CSE 2020, the scribes have to be changed on
account of the postponement of the examination, but the request was not considered by the respondents.
Heard Mr. S.K. Rungta, learned senior advocate with Ms. Prititi Rungta, counsel for the applicants and Mr. R.V. Sinha and Mr. Rajeev Kumar,
learned counsel for the respondents.
The matter was heard at great length on 30.09.2020. A detailed order was passed directing that the applicants shall be permitted to change the
scribes. It is stated that the order was implemented and the applicants were permitted to change the scribes. The examination was held on 04.10.2020.
With this, the grievance of the applicants stand redressed and nothing more needs to be decided. We make it clear that the relief granted in this OA is
under the special circumstances.
The OA is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
