Heard Shri Yogesh Sharma, learned counsel for the applicant.

Applicant has approached this Tribunal by way of the present Application filed under Section 19 of the Administrative Tribunals Act, 1985 against inaction of the respondents in finalizing his claim for additional increment.

Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant was initially appointed as Junior Clerk on 26. 6.2002 in Central Railway, Jhansi Division under Sports Quota. He was subsequently promoted to the post of Superintendent and is now working in the office of CCM (PM), IRCA, New Delhi as such. It is further added that while working in the Railways, the applicant represented Indian Railways 49th, 50th and 51st Senior National Boxing Championships and he got one Silver and two Bronze Medals in such championships.

Learned counsel for the applicant further argues that the applicant is entitled for additional increment in view of the policy of the Railways issued vide Circular dated 30.3.2007 and for such claim, the applicant has made representations through proper channel (Annexures A/2 and Annexure A/3). However, the respondents have failed and neglected to take final decision on such representations of the applicant and the matter is shuffling from one office to another of the respondents.

Issue notice.

Shri Krishan Kant Sharma, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents, accepts notice.

At this stage, Shri Yogesh Sharma, learned counsel for the applicant, submits that the applicant will be satisfied if the present OA is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the aforesaid representations of the applicant keeping in view of the said circular of the Railways and dispose of the same in a time bound manner. To such request, Shri Krishan Kant Sharma, learned standing counsel for the respondents is having no objection.

In view of the aforesaid, OA is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the aforesaid representations of the applicant and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within eight weeks of receipt of a certified copy of this Order.

OA is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. However, in the facts and circumstances, no order as to costs.
