Judgment
Grievance in the application is against throwing and piling of garbage under Kila River Bridge, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh which ultimately merges into Ganga River. It is submitted that the said garbage is set on fire which is causing air pollution in the area. It is further submitted that the shopkeepers have also built their shops over the bridge.
Vide order dated 31.01.2022, the Tribunal constituted a joint Committee of the State PCB, District Magistrate, Bareilly and Municipal Commissioner-Bareilly, (Uttar Pradesh).
In pursuance of above, a report has been filed on 13.05.2022 by the State PCB to the effect that remedial action has been taken in terms of collecting and disposing 4 MT of garbage and removing encroachment and beautifying the banks of Kila River.
In view of the above, no further order appears to be necessary at this stage except that Bareilly Nagar Nigam may ensure that all waste under its territorial jurisdiction is collected and processed in accordance with MSW Rules, 2016.
The application is disposed of.
