Judgment
The application is filed for a direction to respondent Nos.1, 2, 3 and 6 to ensure that there is no ground water extraction, processing or packaging of drinking water being undertaken in Survey No.177/2, Sivan Koil Street, Tharapakkam, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram.
Learned counsel appearing for the applicant submitted that as per order dated 22.08.2016, respondent Nos.4 and 5 were restrained from operating the drinking water extraction, processing and bottling plant until further orders and respondent No.1 in the reply dated 22.02.2017 has reported that direction for closure and disconnection of power supply was passed on 06.02.2017. It is submitted that in such circumstances recording the said submission the application be closed.
As the prayer in the application is to direct respondent Nos.1, 2, 3 and 6 to ensure that there is no ground water extraction, processing or packaging of drinking water being undertaken in Survey No.177/2, Sivan Koil Street, Tharapakkam, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Kanchipuram with the allegation in the application that it is being extracted by respondent No.7 and it is now not disputed that the unit run by respondent No.7 is closed. Hence, nothing survives in the application.
The application is therefore disposed with no order as to costs.
