This Criminal Petition, under Sections 437 and 439 of Cr.P.C., has been filed by the petitioners/A1 and A2, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.242 of 2022 of Kothapet Police Station, Guntur Urban.

A case has been registered against the petitioners herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c ) read with 20(B)(ii)(C) and 22 (C) of the NDPS Act, 1985.

Brief facts of the case are that, on 04.05.2022, at about 12.30 PM, on information, LWs.1 to 4 reached NTR circle, Guntur and found the accused in possession of 15 packets of MD (Methylene Dioxy) (Molly). The police seized the said material and arrested the accused.

Heard both the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for the respondent-State.

On perusal of the entire record goes to show that the petitioners were arrested on 04.05.2022 and since then they are in judicial remand. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits to the extent that the entire investigation is completed and police filed preliminary charge sheet on 06.08.2022.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioners can be released on bail.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioners/A1 and A2 shall be released on bail on their executing personal bonds for Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) each with two sureties of the like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned IV Additional Junior Civil Judge, Guntur.
