This contempt case is filed alleging wilful violation of the orders of this Court passed in WP No.17580 of 2020 dated 15.02.2021.
WP No.17580 of 2020 was filed questioning the action of respondents 2 and 3 in not considering the complaint of the petitioner dated 03.08.2020 and taking appropriate action against respondents 4 to 7 and other officials, who did household survey and helped respondents 4 to 7 to retain their ration cards, as illegal and arbitrary. The said writ petition was disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to look into the complaint given by the petitioner against respondents 4 to 7 and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
Reply-affidavit is filed by the respondents stating inter-alia that copy of the order was received on 20.03.2021 and thereafter, through endorsement dated 26.03.2021, petitioner was informed that the ration cards of the unofficial respondents were cancelled and deleted from December, 2020.
As the ration cards of the unofficial respondents are cancelled, no further orders are necessary in this contempt case and the contempt case is, accordingly, closed. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this contempt case, shall stand closed.
