Judgment
The grievance of the petitioner-Club is that its representation dated 02.12.2019 (Annexure P-8), whereby it sought permission to organize a football tournament from 09.01.2020 to 13.01.2020 and a kabaddi tournament on 14.01.2020, has not evoked any response from the police authorities. Perusal of the record reflects that the said representation was addressed to the respondents herein but no decision seems to have been taken thereon, till date.
As it is for the authorities concerned to consider as to whether the permission sought should be granted or refused, this Court sees no grounds to entertain this writ petition at this stage for adjudication on merits.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of directing the second respondent-Deputy Commissioner, Jalandhar, to take a decision upon the petitioner-Clubs representation dated 02.12.2019 (Annexure P-8) expeditiously and in any event, not later than ten days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
No order as to costs.
