Balwant Singh vs State of H.P. and Others

Kurian Joseph, C.J.—The writ petition is filed with the following prayer:

(A) By way of writ of Mandamus the Respondents 1 and 2 may kindly be directed to grant pay scale/stepping up/to fix the pay at least equal/at par with the Respondent No. 3 from 1.1.2001 and after fixation the same directed to pay the entire arrears thereto after re-fixing/granting the pay and scale as has been granted to the Respondent No. 3 and revised from time to time by providing stepping up etc. along with interest upon the arrears since 1.1.2001 in the interest of justice, equity and fair play. Further, the pension also may kindly be ordered to be revised as per the scale and loss caused to the Petitioner be paid with interest may be recovered from the defaulting Officer/Official.

It is submitted that Annexure P-1 is pending before the 4th Respondent. There will be a direction to the 4th Respondent to look into Annexure P-1 and take appropriate action in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition by the Petitioner before the 4th Respondent.

The writ petition is disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
