The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to count his service rendered as Special Police Officer for qualifying service for the purpose of pensionary/retiral benefits.
Learned counsel for the petitioner, inter alia, contends that case of the petitioner is squarely covered by the judgment of this Court in Harbans Lal Vs. State of Punjab (CWP No.2371 of 2010).
Mr. Aman Dhir, DAG, Punjab who on advance notice is present in Court submits that in terms of above stated judgment of this Court, the respondents authorities in the case of various officials have considered their claim and passed orders. He further asserts that appropriate authority would consider case of the petitioner in terms of judgments of this Court in Harbans Lal (supra) and pass an appropriate order within 3 months from today.
In the wake of statements of both side, the present petition stands disposed of.
