There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

The position was no different on the previous date i.e., 11.08.2018.

The prayer sought in the writ petition was to issue a Mandamus qua respondent no. 6, to remove the encroachment from the subject area.

Respondent no. 3/SDMC has filed a status report. The latest status report is dated 06.02.2017.

As per this report, the subject encroachment has been cleared. During the encroachment removal action two almirahs which were found placed on public land were seized.

It appears that the petitioner's grievance has worked itself out and therefore none is present on behalf of the petitioner.

To be noted, respondent no. 6 is present in court.

7.1. Learned counsel on instructions of respondent no. 6 says that no attempt, whatsoever, will be made to re-enter and/or encroach upon the subject area.

An undertaking to that effect will be filed by respondent no. 6 with the court within a week from today.

9.

The writ petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms.

10.

Registry will dispatch the copy of this order to the petitioner.
