1.

This letters patent appeal has been filed to challenge the order dated 1 July 2003 in C.W.J.C. No. 1278 of 2002 : Avtar Singh and Ors. v. State Bank of India and Ors.

2.

Basically, the writ petition was dismissed on the ground that persons, who are likely to be affected, should the Petitioners be entitled to promotions, have not been impleaded as party Respondents. In so far as this aspect is concerned it is fatal. It is also admitted by learned Counsel for the parties that in case any relief was granted to the Petitioners on the petition then those, who had not been made party-Respondents, could be affected by the order on the writ petition. Secondly, there are no details given, that is, further and better particulars on the basis of which the learned Counsel could agitate on the issues raised in the petition. Thus, the petition was dismissed on these two grounds.

3.

this Court has no occasion to interfere with the order on the writ petition as there is no error on it.

4.

Dismissed.
