Judgment

Office note dated 22.09.2025, indicates that 3(three) separate records in sealed cover had been submitted and are in the custody of the Registrar General, High Court of Meghalaya, which are:
(i) File No. DCRB (LA)4/2016/REV-II (Bisalone Laloo
(ii) File No. DCRB (LA)3/2016/REV-II (Birit Nongrum -vs- State of Meghalaya and
(iii) File No. DCRB (LA)2/2016/REV-II (Ardalin Thabah -vs- State of Meghalaya.
As the files are in the custody of the Registrar General, the learned counsel for the parties submit that perhaps the said records may be remitted back to the Collector, to allow processing of the files in accordance with law.
Mr. S. Sen, learned GA for the respondents No. 1 and 2 prays that in that event, 6(six) months’ time be allowed to complete the exercise.
On hearing the learned counsel for the parties, it is ordered accordingly. The files shall be transmitted to the Collector, Ri Bhoi District, for due process in accordance with law, and the same should be completed preferably within a period of 6(six) months from the date of receipt of the files thereof.
Matter accordingly stands closed and disposed of.
