Basant Balaji, J
The petitioner is a student of BAMS in the 1st respondent- College. Pursuant to Ext.P2, the petitioner and others were directed to pay the examination fees, and the petitioner paid the fee of Rs.3575/- to the 1st respondent-University on 01.07.2023, and an ID card was issued for the examination scheduled on 31.07.2023.
The petitioner submits that during the course of study she had to take leave due to medical reasons and had produced medical certificates before the 1st respondent. No steps have been taken to condone the attendance shortage by the 1st respondent. Exts.P6 to P9 are the representations filed by the petitioner before the respondents.
The counsel for the University submits that the condonation of attendance shortage is fully vested in 1st respondent-College, and the University has no role in that.
It is seen that Ext.P9 was filed on 19th July, before the 1st respondent. The examination is scheduled to start on 31.07.2023. The limited prayer sought by the petitioner now is the disposal of Ext.P9 within a time frame.
Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the respondents, taking into consideration that the examination is scheduled to start on 31.07.2023, I direct the 1st respondent-College to take up Ext.P9, hear the petitioner and pass appropriate orders before 3 P.M on 29.07.2023. The decision taken on Ext P.9 shall be communicated to the petitioner and the 2nd respondent immediately thereafter. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
