Heard Mr. P. Tomcha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
Issue notice.
Notice is accepted by Mr. H. Devendra, learned Dy. AG on behalf of respondents no. 1, 2 & 3; Mr. N. Ibotombi, learned Sr. counsel on behalf of respondent no. 4; Mr. H. Dijen, learned counsel on behalf of respondent no. 5 and respondent no. 6 accepted the notice in person.
The learned Dy. AG for the respondents no. 1, 2 & 3 requested to give some time to file counter affidavit.
Both the learned counsel admits that there is an office notification dated 06.12.2024, wherein the Ex. Secretary of All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA), namely, Mr. Th. Mahira, issued a notification for holding a Special General Body meeting of AMBA on 5th January, 2025 for discussion of the following agenda being 1) Election of AMBA for electing new Office Bearers and Executive Committee Members of AMBA and 2) Misc.
The learned Sr. counsel for the respondent no. 4 fairly submits that till the next date of hearing/ listing of the present cases, no further action/ steps will be taken up in furtherance of the said notification.
The learned counsel for the parties are directed to furnish suggestions for negotiation to settle the issue between them.
