Judgment
The Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking orders to modify the condition No.(i) imposed by the Principal Special Court for Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act Cases, Madurai, in Crl.M.P.No.2021 of 2026 dated 06.08.2026, wherein, the petitioner was directed to execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- along with two sureties each out of which one surety is a blood surety.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's parents had already died and is unmarried and as of now, he is not having any blood relatives, so as to enable to produce the blood surety.
In pursuance of the directions of this Court, the respondent police submitted a report stating that after enquiry, they came to know that the petitioner's parents had already died and is unmarried.
Considering the above facts and circumstances, the condition No.(i) imposed against the petitioner is modified directing him to execute a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- along with two sureties each for the said sum to the satisfaction of the said Court.
With the above modification, the Criminal Original Petition is allowed. No costs.
