S. Chandrashekhar, J.—Seeking a direction upon the respondent-authorities to permit free entry of local vehicles in the city of Giridih, the present writ petition has been filed. In the writ petition, it is averred that on 29.1.2015 work order has been issued in favour of respondent No. 5 for collection of entry fee from heavy vehicles. The work order has been issued after inviting open bidding through Advertisement dated 7.1.2015. The petitioners have produced copies of certificate of registration of their vehicles. The documents produced by the petitioners disclose that the vehicles are heavy vehicles (trucks). The petitioners have contended that in a particular day since the local vehicles are required to enter the city on several occasions, entry fee may be collected several times, which would cause serious loss to the vehicle owners. I am of the opinion that the petitioners, who own commercial vehicles and are plying the vehicles for commercial purpose cannot claim exemption from payment of entry fee on the ground that they are local residents. The petitioners have failed to indicate a legal right in themselves for seeking exemption from payment of entry fee.

2.

Considering the above facts, I find no merit in the writ petition and accordingly, it is dismissed.
