Judgment
Heard Mr. Sakinala Deekshith Kumar Teja, learned counsel representing Mr. K.V. Rajendra Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. Pasham Mohith, learned standing counsel for Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC).
Learned standing counsel for GWMC submitted that pursuant to Letter Rc.No.B/674/2026 dated 27.07.2026 enquiry was conducted by respondent No.5 and the impugned Intimation Lr.No.340477/GWMC/TP/W NO:55/CIR-II/2026 dated 29.07.2026 was issued regarding unauthorized construction made by the petitioners in Government assigned/ceiling land in Sy.Nos.518 to 524, Bheemaram Revenue Village. Though petitioners were given reasonable time to submit explanation and explain their case, the petitioners, so far, have not attended the hearing. The petitioners were issued notice dated 14.08.2026 directing them to appear on 22.08.2026 and they did not appear on the said dated.
Learned standing counsel submitted that further action, if any, to be taken by the respondent No.5 will be subject to the outcome of the enquiry pursuant to the impugned intimation letter dated 29.07.2026 and by considering reply/documents, if any, filed by the petitioners.
Recording the aforesaid submissions, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioners to submit explanation/documents in support of their case in response to the impugned intimation letter dated 29.07.2026 within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such explanation, the respondent No.5 shall pass orders, in accordance with law, within three (3) weeks thereafter. Till such exercise is completed, status quo, obtaining as on today shall be maintained in respect of structures on the subject property.
The miscellaneous applications, pending if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as costs.
