The bail application of Akhilesh Gope in connection with Karra P.S. Case No. 09 of 2017, corresponding to G.R. No.24 of 2017, S.T. No. 331 of 2019 registered for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 342, 323, 506, 379, 435, 427, 353, 307 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 27 of the Arms Act, Section 17 of the C.L.A. Act and Section 16, 17, 18(B), 20 of the U.A.P. Act, has been moved by Mr. Anil Kumar Ganjhu, learned counsel for the petitioner and opposed by Mr. Ashok Singh, learned A.P.P. for the State.
The proceeding has been conducted through Video Conferencing in view of the guidelines of the High Court taking into account the situation arising due to COVID-19 pandemic.
It has been alleged that the vehicles were put on fire by the extremists on S.S.K.C. construction site. When the police reached the extremists had fled away firing and by taking the name of each other.
Mr. Anil Kumar Ganjhu, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that co-accused persons of this case have already been granted bail in B.A. No. 10052 of 2019 and B.A. No. 7308 of 2019 respectively by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court.
Regard being had to the above facts, the above named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court of Sri Rajesh Kumar No. 1, learned District & Addl. Sessions Judge, Khunti in connection with Karra P.S. Case No. 09 of 2017, corresponding to G.R. No.24 of 2017, S.T. No. 331 of 2019.
