Judgment
Maninder S. Bhatti, J
The petitioner by way of present petition seeks the following directions:-
"(i) The Hon'ble Court may kindly be graciously pleased to issue a writ of 'mandamus' directing the respondent No. 2, to consider and decide the pending application of petitioner dated 30.01.2023 (Annex.P/2), within a reasonable period, so that the petitioner as well as travelling public may not suffer irreparably.
(ii) Any other reliefs which this Hon'ble Court deem fit in the circumstances of the case, may also be granted to the petitioner."
Having regard to the relief sought, the provisions contained under Section 80 of the Act of 1988 and the law laid down by the Apex Court in the case of Mithilesh Garg v. Union of India and others: AIR 1992 SC 443 , and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.2 to decide the application, if any, preferred by the petitioner, as contained in Annexure P-2 within a period of 30 days from the date of communication of this order.
