Judgment
Heard Mr. K. Roy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
Issue notice calling upon the respondents to show cause as to why a Rule should not be issued as prayed for; and/or any other such further order(s) shall not be passed as to this Court may deem fit and proper having regard to the circumstances of the case.
Notice is made returnable on 26.08.2020.
Since Mr. D. Bhattacharya, learned G.A. appears and waives notice for the respondents No.2, 3, 4 & 5 and Mr. B. Majumder, learned CGC appears and waives notice for the respondent No.1, no formal notice is called for.
It is expected that the respondents shall file their reply by the returnable date.
The state-respondents who have been given the responsibility of forming a state level committee for operationalize the direction of the apex court in T.N. Godavaman Thirumulpad Vs. Union of India and Others shall clarify why after efflux of a long time, the proposal made by the petitioner has not been considered, more particularly why they have not considered the alternative place as suggested by the petitioner.
