(per the Hon’ble the Acting Chief Justice P.Sam Koshy)
Heard Sri L. Ram Singh, leaned counsel appearing for the petitioners, Sri R. Nagarjuna Reddy, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Health, Medical and Family Welfare Department, appearing for respondent No.1 and Sri T. Sharath, learned Standing Counsel for Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences, appearing for respondent No.2.
Learned counsel for the petitioners after arguing for some time prays for disposal of the instant Writ Petition with liberty to the petitioners to approach the respondent-authorities by way of detailed representations seeking to consider their case under NRI Quota in spite of the fact that at the time of filling up of the registration form, the petitioners had not sought for admission under the NRI Quota, under the compelling circumstances then prevailing.
On the other hand, learned Standing Counsel for respondent No.2-University submits that liberty should be left with the respondent-authorities to consider the representations strictly in accordance with the Rules and Regulations governing the field.
Accordingly, the instant Writ Petition is disposed of directing the petitioners to approach the respondent-authorities by way of detailed representations, which shall be considered by the respondent-authorities in accordance with the Rules and Regulations governing the field. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous applications, if any pending, shall stand closed.
