T.R. Ramachandran Nair, J.—The main relief sought for in the Writ Petition is to direct the respondents to release the result of the petitioner for the 8th Semester B. Tech. Examination in Chemical Engineering. The further relief sought for is to complete the revaluation of the petitioner for the said paper as applied for by Exhibit P5. It appears that even though the results were announced, the same was shown as withheld.

2.

The learned Standing Counsel for the University on getting instructions submitted that the results have been duly published and the petitioner has failed in the examination.

3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner therefore prayed that the petitioner may be given an opportunity for scrutiny of the answer papers and even though the petitioner approached the University, the application is not being accepted stating that the last date is over. It is submitted that the petitioner, even before the publication of the result, as of now, had filed Exhibit P5 application for revaluation. In the light of the above developments, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions.

(i) The University will complete the revaluation of the papers sought for as per Exhibit P5 application within the period provided.

(ii) If the petitioner files an application for scrutiny of the answer papers within a period of five days from today, the facility for scrutiny will be extended to the petitioner within the period provided under the Regulation.
