Briefly put, petitioner claims to be working as Casual Labour/Need Basis Worker in Electric Sub Division Pulwama since 2003-04. He is

aggrieved of his non-inclusion in the list of need basis workers as also non-settlement of his claim for wages. It is contended that despite various

recommendations including one made by Executive Engineer, Electric Division, Pulwama, the case of petitioner has received no attention and the

labour of petitioner has been exploited subjecting him to live in penury and most pitiable condition.

Heard learned counsel for petitioner at length and considered the matter.

Admit. Notice. On asking, Mr R.A.Khan, learned AAG waives post admission notice on behalf of respondents.

Learned counsel for petitioner states that petitioner would feel satisfied in the event writ petition is disposed of, directing respondents to consider

the case of petitioner for his enlistment in the list of casual labourers/need basis workers within a fixed timeframe. To this, learned counsel for

respondents states petitioner''s case would be considered in accordance with rules governing the field.

Writ petition, given the case set up coupled with stand taken by learned counsel for parties, is disposed of with a direction to respondents to

consider and decide the case of petitioner for his enlistment in the list of casual labourers/need basis workers in accordance with rules occupying

the field and take a decision, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within four weeks, which period shall begin from the date copy of this order

along with complete set of paper book is served upon respondents. While doing aforesaid exercise, respondents may also take steps for

disbursement of legitimately earned wages in favour of petitioner for the work done. Disposed of.
