Heard Mr. M. Sri Vijay, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. Kotha Rama Mohan Rao, learned standing counsel for Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University; learned Government Pleader for Animal Husbandry and learned Government Pleader for Social Welfare.
This writ petition in the nature of public interest litigation has been filed questioning the action of the respondents, more particularly, respondent Nos.1 to 7 in sharing vacant 'backlog roster points' that existed in the combined Veterinary University of United Andhra Pradesh i.e., Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, we are of the considered opinion that the issue raised in this petition does not come within the ambit of Public Interest Litigation and therefore, this petition is not maintainable.
Accordingly, the Writ Petition (Public Interest Litigation) is dismissed. No costs. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
