A. Muhamed Mustaque, J.

1.

Read order dated 27.06.2023.

2.

Today, the child and her grandmother are present before us. The child is 14 years old and she expressed her willingness to continue with her grandmother.

3.

A copy of the report of the Child Welfare Committee is also made available before this Court for perusal. The report indicates that the child is protected by her grandmother and there are no adverse circumstances now existing to deprive the custody by the maternal grandmother. Accordingly, we modify the impugned orders and allow the child to be under the care of the grandmother. The Child Welfare Committee, Thrissur, shall ensure that the child's welfare has been taken care by the grandmother while the child is in her custody. The Child Welfare Committee should also ensure that no other third party frequents the grandmother's residence. Accordingly, the impugned order is modified.

4.

As indicated in the report, the Child Welfare Committee shall ensure that proper care is accorded to the child under the “Kaval Plus Scheme”, as required.

This RPJJ is disposed of accordingly.
