Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner(s) fairly states that pursuant to order dated 7.1.2021, Collector Sub Division, Dalhousie, District

Chamba, has disposed of the application for release of award amount, whereby compensation amount deposited in the Bank has been ordered to be

released, as such, both the petitions have been rendered infructuous, same may be disposed of accordingly.

Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner(s), while inviting attention of this Court to aforesaid order passed by Collector Sub Division, which is

taken on record, contends that though formal order for release of award amount has been passed but till date, neither any cheque nor any demand

draft, in favour of the petitioner(s) has been issued.

Learned Assistant Solicitor General of India states that though as per practice prevalent in the Department, amount is always transferred in the

bank account of the beneficiary, but otherwise also, cheque/Demand Draft, if required, shall be positively issued within a period of ten days from

today.

Consequently, in view of above, both the writ petitions are disposed of as infructuous, with the direction to Collector Sub Division, Dalhousie to

ensure that the compensation amount ordered to be released vide order dated 20.2.2021, is actually paid to the petitioner(s), within ten days. Besides

Mr. Balram Sharma, learned Assistant Solicitor General of India, Mr. Sudhir Bhatnagar, learned Additional Advocate General also undertakes to

apprise the aforesaid officer with regard to passing of the instant order, enabling him to do the needful within the time stipulated by this Court.

All pending appellations stand disposed of.
