Virendra Kumar vs Sandeep Bhatnagar and Others

Kurian Joseph, C.J.—The essential grievance of the Petitioner pertains to an entry in the pension papers to the effect that Arvind Kumar, his son, who is a physically challenged person with 60 % disability as his nominee for family pension. On 19.7.2011, this Court passed the following order:

The learned Additional Advocate General, on instructions from the Deputy Director, Chamba, submits that despite earnest efforts, the records are not yet traceable; however, steps are being continued in that regard. It is also submitted that in case the Petitioner only wants to change his nominee as Arvind Kumar, who is a physically challenged person, the Respondents have no objection in that regard, of course, subject to the Petitioner fulfilling other codal formalities. In case the Petitioner is willing in that regard and in case he approaches the Deputy Director, Chamba, necessary steps shall be taken to change the nominee in accordance with law.

There will be a direction to the Deputy Director (Higher Education), Chamba to make the necessary entries in the pension papers within two weeks. The Accountant General will take necessary further action in that regard within another one month. The Petitioner will produce a copy of this judgment before the Accountant General after the needful is done by the Deputy Director (Higher Education), Chamba.

With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of, so also the pending application(s), if any.
