Judgment
The Counsel for the parties appeared before the Court along with their respective clients.
The Court was informed that during the course of the mediation proceedings, the parties have entered into a Settlement Agreement on 7th November, 2019.
The Settlement Agreement is taken on the record of this Court. We direct both parties to abide by the terms and conditions in the Settlement Agreement.
We are informed by the Respondent Husband that in compliance with the terms of the Settlement, the Respondent-husband has handed over four Demand Drafts bearing D.O.Nos.364266, 364267, 364268 and 364269 dated 22.11.2019 for Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees five lakhs) each totalling Rs.20,00,000/- (Rupees twenty lakhs).
The jewellery of the petitioner-wife has also been returned to her in Court.
In exercise of our powers, under Article 142 of the Constitution of India, we hereby direct that the marriage between the parties be dissolved by mutual consent under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.
The transfer petition is disposed of in terms of the Settlement. Pending applications also stand disposed of.
