The order under contempt requires the authorities to extend hospital as well as medical facilities to the complainant.

When the present contempt proceedings came up for consideration, learned Deputy Solicitor General of India Mr. H. Shanti Bhushan produced copy of the communication dated 09.12.2024 addressed to him by the Administrative Officer, Officer In-charge, RLC Pune in which it is stated to be issued with reference to the present contempt petition providing that the order which is brought under the contempt proceedings would be complied with and further that the process for compliance is already underway.

The aforesaid communication mentions that the Department has already taken necessary steps to implement the Court's order. Copy of this letter is given to learned advocate Mr. C. Vasudevan for the complainant. He acknowledges the same and stands satisfied with the commitment expressed by the authorities for compliance of the order. He has also filed memo dated 10.12.2024 with reference to the same to state that the complainant who is an ex-serviceman is extended with the benefit of the hospital facilities and that the order is complied with. Therefore, the grievance stands satisfied.

In the above view, nothing survives in the present contempt petition.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
