Judgment

This court vide order dated 03.02.2022 had issued notice upon the respondent-contemnors for violating the order dated 23.07.2021 passed by this court in WP(C) 170 of 2020. On that date, it was ordered that “the petitioner shall take steps for service of notice upon the contemnors within 7 (seven) days by registered post with AD”.
Registry note dated 16.03.2022 reveals that “till date no step yet been taken by the petitioner side for issuance of notice upon the respondents”.
Since the petitioner has not taken any step for a considerable period of time, as it appears from the orders dated 03.02.2022 and note dated 16.03.2022, in my opinion, the petitioner is not at all interested to proceed with the petition. Further, though the cause list shows that there are four learned Advocates representing the petitioner, but, when the matter is called upon today, none of them had made their appearance before this court.
In the above circumstances, this court has no other option but to close the contempt petition filed by the petitioner.
Accordingly, the contempt petition stands closed. However, it is made clear that if the directions are not complied with by the respondents, then, the petitioner would have the liberty to approach this court by filing appropriate application/petition.
With the aforesaid order, the instant contempt petition stands disposed.
