This writ petition has been filed seeking the following prayers:

“1.

To issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order directing the third respondent to consider Exhibit P4 and conduct a Vigilance Probe into the circumstances that led to the untimely death of Assistant Public Prosecutor Aneeshya in a fair, proper, and impartial manner.

2.

To issue a writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to create specific rules and guidelines necessary to ensure accountability and prevent unethical practices among the Assistant Public Prosecutors and their superiors.

3.

To issue a writ of Mandamus directing the first and third respondent to regularly monitor the performance of prosecutors across Kerala through an independent agency.

4.

To issue any other writs, directions, and orders that this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of this case.”

As on 31.08.2026, the learned Public Prosecutor submitted as under:

“In this matter, the learned Public Prosecutor has produced report of the Dy.S.P., Crime Branch, Thiruvananthapuram, dated 20.07.2026, stating that the investigation in this case has been completed by the Crime Branch and the final report has been filed as C.P.No.18 of 2026 before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-II, Paravur.”

Today, he has reiterated the submission. Since the prayer of the petition is for investigation and the final report has already been filed, the option of the petitioner is to challenge the final report on getting the same. Keeping the liberty to challenge the final report submitted, if necessary, this W.P.(Crl.) is closed.

The learned Public Prosecutor is directed to serve a copy of the Final Report for perusal.
