M. Katju and R. S. Tripathi, JJ.—Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

2.

The petitioner is challenging the impugned order dated 21.4.2003 (Annexure7 to the writ petition). In that order it is mentioned that the District Magistrate, Hamirpur has received many complaints that there are several fake journalists who put pressure on the Administration for their selfish purposes and are creating problems for the Administration. In that order it is mentioned that one Prashant Shukla who is not connected with any Newspaper puts pressure on the Administration and has taken out a procession to put pressure on the Administration. The District Magistrate has decided to take strict legal action on this gang of fake Journalists operating in District Hamirpur.

3.

We see no illegality in the said order. Even assuming that such persons are genuine Journalists, they have no right to put pressure on the Administration. We do not wish to comment upon the standard of journalism in this country but all that we would like to say is that there is much room for improvement.

4.

Petition is dismissed.
