On 30 September 2019, this Court had adjourned this writ petition awaiting the outcome of the proceedings before the Supreme Court in SLP(C) 11997/2019, Dev Karan Mahala^{11.1Order dated 21 March 2023 in SLP(C) 11997/2019 in Dev Karan Mahala v. Union of India}.

On the said date of hearing, both sides have submitted that the dispute stands settled against the department by the said decision.

The decision whereof has been placed on record.

Mr. Shoeb Shakeel appears for the respondent. In view of joint statement made on the last date of hearing, this writ petition is disposed of as not surviving further for consideration as the issue stands settled against the Union of India and in favour of the respondent in terms of the Dev Karan Mahala.

Let the order of the Central Administrative Tribunal^{22.“the Tribunal”, hereinafter} be complied within a period of eight weeks from today.
