This matter is taken up by virtual/physical mode.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though there is direction of the Hon’ble Apex Court for completion of the trial within stipulated
time, but the same could not be completed in time. It is submitted that with the addition of some moré Sections of the Arms Act, the trial further got
prolonged. It is further submitted that in the meantime, only a few witnesses are left to be examined.
In view of such submission, this Court directs that learned Sessions Judge, Cuttack to conclude the trial within a period of one month from the date
of receipt of this order.
List this matter on 13th September 2021.
Registry is directed to communicate the order to the learned Sessions Judge, Cuttack forthwith for compliance.
A free copy of the order be handed to the learned counsel for the State for compliance.
It is made clear that the parties shall cooperate with the learned Sessions Court to complete the trial within the stipulated time as directed.
Issue certified copy of this order as per Rules.
