M. Katju, J.—Petitioner was appointed as a bus conductor in the service of the U.P. State Road Transport Corporation. He was charge sheeted on the allegation that he was carrying 16 passengers without ticket. An inquiry was held in which he was found guilty and by the impugned order dated 17-1-91. his services were terminated. He filed an appeal which was also dismissed vide order dated 31-10-91 (Annexure 6 to the writ petition). Aggrieved the Petitioner has filed this writ petition challenging the said orders.

2.

In my opinion, the impugned orders are justified and call for no interference The question whether the Petitioner was carrying passengers without ticket is basically a question of fact and I cannot interfere with the same under Article 226 of the Constitution. There is material on record in support of the findings that the Petitioner was carrying passengers without ticket This is a serious offence because it causes loss to the public revenue Accordingly the writ petition is dismissed.
