Jora Singh, J.—Complaint was received from Tilak Ram on the allegation that a Criminal Writ Petition No. 2 of 2011 was filed by Parmod Kumar in which this Court directed the Deputy Commissioner to hold an enquiry regarding the illegal detention of the alleged detenues. It is further submitted in the complaint that in compliance of the order passed by this Court, District Magistrate, Jalandhar got released all the detenues. However, Parmod Kumar was detained by the owner of the brick kiln.

In pursuance of the complaint, notice was issued to the State.

Learned State counsel has filed reply and the same is taken on record.

Reply is to the effect that raid was conducted on 13.01.2011 and all the alleged detenues mentioned in Crl. Writ Petition No. 2 of 2011 were got released from the brick kiln but at that time Tilak Ram-present Petitioner could not get released because he was not found present at the brick kiln. It has further been stated in the reply that the present Petitioner was also got released on 14.01.2011 from the said brick kiln.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from HC Surinder Pal Singh, who is present in court, states that Petitioner is not in illegal custody of brick kiln owned by Lalli and Yash Pal.

In view of the abovesaid reply and statement made above, no further action is required in the present petition. Hence, the present petition has become infructuous and is dismissed accordingly.
