The petitioner, who retired as Senior Assistant (Accounts) way back on 31.1.2001, has come up before this Court seeking release of his pending retiral benefits including arrears of pension and amount of gratuity in the light of the law laid down by this Court in CWP(T) No. 9602 of 2008, titled A.N. Gupta versus State of H.P. & Others and connected matters.
The respondent-State has filed reply stating that they have already released all the admissible dues except the interest @ 6%, which has to be calculated by the third respondent i.e. the Accountant General (A&E).
Given the undisputed facts, we close this petition by directing the third respondent, Accountant General (A & E), to consider the case of the petitioner for releasing the interest in view of the stand taken by the respondent-State, within eight weeks from today. The petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court again, in case he still feels aggrieved and dissatisfied. Pending application(s), if any, are closed.
