Pursuant to the order passed earlier in this writ petition, Mr. D Borah, learned counsel for the petitioner on instruction submitted that the petitioner has

received the necessary Pension Pay Order issued by the Pension Department of the State.

It is clarified by respondent No.8, the Accountant General (A & E) that the GPF amount of the petitioner could not be disbursed to him as his date of

birth has been incorrectly mentioned for which his such application was returned back to the Commissioner and Secretary to the Government of

Assam, Elementary Education Department, respondent No.1.

The petitioner, has retired as Head Pandit/ Head Teacher from Uttar Gayan Gaon Lower Primary School under the Deputy Inspector of Schools,

Majuli Sub-Division of erstwhile Jorhat district now under the Majuli district. Enabling the petitioner to obtain his GPF amount, he is directed to file a

fresh representation correctly incorporating his date of birth as mentioned in his service book before the Deputy Inspector of Schools, Majuli,

Kamalabari on or before 30th June, 2018 and on receipt of the same, the said Deputy Inspector of Schools shall place it before the District Elementary

Education Officer, Jorhat, the respondent No.4 and the said respondent No.4, DEEEO Jorhat after due verification from the Block Elementary

Education Officer as well as Deputy Inspector of Schools, Majuli shall forward the same to the Director of Elementary Education Officer, Assam

respondent No.3 and thereafter the Director of Elementary Education, Assam shall forward the same to the Principal Accountant General (A & E),

Maidamgaon, Beltola, respondent No.8, if necessary/ required by obtaining the approval of the Commissioner and Secretary , Elementary Education

Department, Assam, respondent No.2. The entire exercise shall be completed by the respondents in the elementary Education Department within a

period of 60 days from the date of receipt of such representation of the petitioner by the Deputy Inspector of Schools, Majuli. The Accountant

General ( A & E) on such forwarding of the respondents in the Elementary Education Department shall release the amount of GPF due to the

petitioner within a month thereafter and shall forward the necessary authority letter to the concerned Treasury for payment of the GPF amount to the

petitioner.

With the said observation and direction, this writ petition stands disposed off.
