The petitioner was declared as a successful shortlisted candidate in General Category for undertaking the HCS (JB) Main Examination 2017 to be conducted from 15.03.2019 in the revised result declared on 26.02.2019, for which the shortlisted candidates were required to submit forms (hard copies) in the office of Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) by 05.03.2019. The petitioner concededly failed to furnish her application form till today.
The contention of the petitioner is that she did not come to know of the revised result uploaded on the website of the Commission (HPSC) as also of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on 26.02.2019 and it came to her knowledge on 13.03.2019 only through a fellow student and submitted her representation (ANNEXURE P-5) and, therefore, unfairly denied an opportunity to apply. It is contended that it was incumbent upon the HPSC to inform the shortlisted candidates as per the revised result on their mobiles as well as e-mail addresses, which were in the knowledge of HPSC, keeping in view the short time available.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Rajeev Doon, AAG, Haryana, Mr. Kanwal Goyal, Advocate and Mr. Gaurav Chopra, Advocate, accept notice on behalf of respondent No.1-State, respondent No.2-HPCS and respondent No.3-Punjab and Haryana High Court, respectively.
Counsel for the respondents submit that in an identical situation, this Court in CWP No.7009 of 2019 titled as Jhankrit Sharma Vs. Haryana Public Service Commission, decided on 14.03.2019, has dismissed the writ petition rejecting the similar contentions.
For the reasons stated in the order dated 14.03.2019 passed in CWP No.7009 of 2019, which may be read as a part of the present order, the present writ petition is dismissed.
