After making some arguments, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the writ petition enabling the petitioner to approach the respondents to cover the Wards of Freedom Fighters, as per Clause 2(vi) contained in Chapter IV-Eligibility and Qualifications, as mentioned in the Common/Centralized Counselling Prospectus (Under-Graduate Medical/Dental Courses) for admission to MBBS & BDS Courses (Session 2021-22), Annexure P-1, alongside the children of bonafide Himachalis, who are serving In Indian Defence Services/Ex-serviceman/Para-Military Forces.
It being a Policy matter, this Court cannot interfere TAMANA SHARMA VERSUS STATE OF HIMACHAL PRADESH AND OTHERS with the same. However, the petitioner is permitted to approach the respondents-State for redressal of her grievance(s) and it is for the respondents to take view in the matter, in accordance with law.
We make it clear that we have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly, so also pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
