Judgment
Petitioners 1 and 2 are senior citizens. They are aggrieved by Ext.P2 notice issued by the 2nd respondent, ie, the Station Officer, Fire and Rescue Station, Chakkai, Thiruvananthapuram, directing the petitioners to remove a temporary sheet put up by the petitioners, which according to the petitioners, are put up for the purpose of protecting the building from the rain and sun and bird droppings.
However, from Ext.P2, it is clear that Ext.P2 was issued by the 2nd respondent following the directions issued by the District Disaster Management Authority, since the installation put up by the petitioners is causing prejudice to the fire fighting system.
Anyhow, being aggrieved, petitioners have submitted Ext.P4 and therefore, I think it is only appropriate that a direction is issued to the 2nd respondent to finalize the same in accordance with law at the earliest possible time.
Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader, there will be a direction to the 2nd respondent to finalize Ext.P4 at the earliest and at any rate, within one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment, after providing a notice of hearing to the petitioners as well as the apartment owners association.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
