By way of the present contempt petition, the petitioner has alleged non-compliance of the order dated 14.12.2020.

Mr. Manish Tak, learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioner has simply sent a copy of the order passed by this Court without enclosing copy of the petition and other documents, due to which it was not possible for them to understand petitioner’s grievance and prayer.

Learned counsel further submitted that thereafter, the respondents had sent a letter dated 04.02.2021 to the petitioner’s counsel to supply copy of the writ petition etc., but the same was not supplied.

Mr. Tak, learned counsel on the basis of instructions received, submitted that the water supply could not be commenced as the matter of allotment of land was pending with the Colonization Department and now, the petitioner has been allotted land, whereafter, water supply has been commenced on the newly allotted land of the petitioner.

It is also informed by Mr. Manish Tak, learned counsel for the respondents that the petitioner has given a letter to the Executive Engineer stating that he does not wish to continue with the contempt petition he has filed.

On the previous date of hearing (09.05.2023), learned counsel for the petitioner had sought time to complete instructions. Today, Mr. Bhawani Singh, associate to Mr. Manas Ranchhor submitted that they have not yet received the information/instructions.

In view of the facts noticed hereinabove, this Court has reason to infer that the petitioner’s grievance has been redressed.

Notice of contempt issued to the respondent no.2 is hereby discharged.

9.

The contempt petition is disposed of, accordingly.

10.

If any of the petitioner’s grievance still subsists, he shall be free to move an application for revival of the present contempt petition.
