Judgment
Arindam Lodh, J
Heard Mr. P.K. Biswas, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. P. Biswas, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. D. Bhattacharya, learned GA assisted by Mr. K. De, learned Addl. GA appearing for the respondents-State.
The simple case of the petitioner is that her husband i.e. the respondent no.3 had entered into marriage with another lady suppressing the fact that the respondent no.3 was already a married person and the petitioner is the wife of said respondent no.3.
The petitioner has submitted a complaint to the Director of Health Services, Govt. of Tripura, i.e. the respondent no.2 in the writ petition informing the said fact, but, till today the Director has not responded to the said complaint.
According to the petitioner, the respondent no.3 made a clear statement before the Marriage Registrar that he was unmarried, which was totally false.
In view of this, by way of filing this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for awarding appropriate punishment to the respondent no.3.
Considering the nature of the case, I direct the respondent no.2 to respond to the complaint made by the petitioner in accordance with law.
With the aforesaid direction, the instant writ petition stands disposed.
