Judgment
This appeal has been filed against the judgment and order of the High Court dated 05.07.2006 in F.A.O. No.1985 of 2000 and other connected matters.
Learned counsel for the appellant submits that against the same very judgment Civil Appeal No.1052 of 2014 - Union of India Vs. Vidya Rani & Anr. with other connected appeals have been decided by this Court on 29.01.2014. In paragraph 15 of the judgment following directions issued by this Court:
"In the result, the appeals are disposed of. We modify the judgment and order passed by the High Court and award 15% solatium and interest at the rate of 6% on the compensation from the date of award passed by the arbitrator. The acquiring authority is directed to pay the aforesaid amount within three months' from the date of receipt of this Court's order."
Learned counsel for the respondents does not dispute that the judgment dated 29.01.2014 also covers the issues raised in this appeal.
In above view of the matter, we dispose of this appeal in terms of the order dated 29.01.2014.
