K.C. Puri, J.—Surjan Singh - Petitioner has applied for grant of regular bail in FIR No. 109 dated 16.6.2010 u/s 304-B IPC, registered at Police Station Chheharta, Amritsar.

As per allegation of the prosecution, the law was set in motion by recording the statement of Ram Singh, father of Kulwinder Kaur, who has stated that Kulwinder Kaur was married with Sukhcharan Singh s/o Surjan Singh. After marriage her husband Sukhcharan Singh, mother-in-law Satwinder Kaur, father-in-law Surjan Singh and Nanad (sister-in-law) Harjinder Kaur were harassing her for bringing more dowry. Husband of daughter of the complainant was working in Dubai, who had returned 18 days back and Kulwinder Kaur was harassed a lot for bringing more dowry. He has further stated that he came to know that Sukhcharan Singh, mother-in-law Satwinder Kaur, father-in-law Surjan Singh and Nanad (sister-in-law) Harjinder Kaur have killed his daughter Kulwinder Kaur, by poisoning her.

The Petitioner is in custody since 6.8.2010.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Gurminder Singh, is fair enough to concede that material witnesses namely, Ram Singh, Desa Singh and Joginder Singh, have been examined and they have not supported the case of the prosecution.

So, without commenting on the merits of the case, bail to the satisfaction of the trial Court.
