Judgment
The present petition has been filed under Section 438 Code of Criminal Procedure for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in case FIR No.145
dated 14.07.2017 registered for the offences punishable under Section 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, at Police Station
Goraya, District Jalandhar.
Heard.
Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Daljit Kumar submits that report of Forensic Science Laboratory has been received. Petitioner has
also surrendered before the trial Court and has been released on interim bail under order dated 05.09.2018.
In view of the above but without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed and order dated 05.09.2018 is made absolute,
for a period of two weeks to facilitate the petitioner to seek regular bail from the trial Court. In the event of his failure to apply and seek regular bail
from the trial Court, he will be taken into custody after the expiry of period of two weeks.
