Judgment
Tejinder Singh Dhindsa, J.—The petitioners had preferred the present writ petition seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing the respondents to amend the syllabus pertaining to the Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination, 2009. It had been prayed that the subject of IT and Food Processing should be included as optional subject in the preliminary examination. Mr. Suveer Sehgal, learned Additional Advocate General, Punjab brings to the notice of this Court that in pursuance to the scheme of Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination, 2009 the preliminary as also the main examination was subsequently held and thereafter the candidates have since been allocated to the Punjab Civil Services (Executive Branch) and other allied services.
Counsel accordingly contends that the present writ petition has been rendered infructuous merely on account of efflux of time. Writ petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
