The present petition alleges wilful disobedience of the directions contained in the judgment / order dated 26.03.2025, passed by this Court in W.P.(C) 12256/2022, in terms whereof, the petitioner is entitled to extra-ordinary pension and ex-gratia compensation.
Learned counsel for the respondents, who appears on advance notice, submits that the ex-gratia compensation to which the petitioner is entitled, has already been disbursed. It is further submitted that for grant of extra ordinary pension, the matter has been forwarded to the Pay and Accounts Department (PAD).
It is assured and undertaken that the matter shall be rigorously followed up to ensure that the extra ordinary pension is granted/ released to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible.
In view of the aforesaid, this Court finds no occasion to pass any further orders in the present contempt petition. The same is, accordingly disposed of, taking on record the aforesaid undertaking of the respondents.
The respondents are directed to file a compliance affidavit within a period of eight weeks from today.
