Judgment

The petitioner is the son of late Smt. Leelamoni who was the permit holder of stage carriage bearing registration No. KL-32/9903 operating service on the route Alappuzha-Cherthala. After the death of his mother, the petitioner is in possession of the vehicle.
The application filed by the petitioner for transfer of ownership is pending before the 1st respondent. Since the above stage carriage is mechanically unfit, the petitioner has now for the immediate operation, submitted Ext.P4 application for temporary permit in place of the regular permit in respect of stage carriage bearing No.KL-76/A-1964. The limited prayer of the petitioner is to give a direction to the 2nd respondent to pass orders on Ext.P4.
Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader, this writ petition is disposed of, directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P4, in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
